A PASSION's STORY.

Bélissama et la petite Doma Vaquera Gaïa

Even if the affix "Doma Vaquera" was given only in November 1991, the breeding started from the passion generated by the first delivery of Belissama the 22nd March 1989.

Belissama, a wirehaired Spanish Greyhound, buy for a short hair one, is the foundation of the "Doma Vaquera" line, its pillar. Without her, no line could have appeared.

Belissama has born the 26th October 1986 at M. Royo place, a Spanish guy living in France, whom had breed lot of the Spanish Greyhounds living in France, the best and the worst. "Belis" was part of the best, luck for us who didn't know even the standards. We choosed her for her kind temperament and her funny colour (she seemed have walked in white paint !).

Bélissama

Her first exhibition took place near our place. By a happy coincidence it was the French championship. The luck suited this novice. Achieving a catastrophic presentation: she took the second place on 8 females. The story began.

Our passion for breeding increased definitely after the birth of the first litter. What happiness to see born and growing up these little evils, playing the fools in our house and afterwards in their new master houses!

And what to add when in this first litter were 3 French beauty champions and one coursing champion? That story was going on, breeding was becoming normal even essential...

Doma Vaquera Ibero, Iorgah et Ipanema Niña

Belissama became also a Champion of France. The following litters either with Ullin (born also in Mr Royo place) or Campero Ganaderia del Sierra Morena (born in M. Rapeport place) gave excellent typical individuals. Her children and grandchildren succeed her in the shows.

Bélissama et Ellora (6 mois)

Of course, Belissama putted her mark on Doma Vaquera: she was the first. Even she's now more than 13 year old, she's still top dog. She gave us the taste for dogs with a balanced character, easy everywhere and not afraid of anything; the taste for typical dogs, which are not looking as Deerhounds or Greyhounds because who doesn't know the Spanish Galgos can't give her any breed; the taste of the sociable dogs because she goes to people and dogs with kindness and curiosity.

By the end, because she is not perfect, Bellisama has pushed us to do better, more close to the standard, to breed Spanish Galgos beautiful and kind, to make their future masters as happy as we could be, living with them.
